Cooperative galleries are usually owned and run by a collection of artist members. Many have juried memberships. Fine art purchased at these galleries may be more affordable than at other galleries with commissions for sales people.

Suburban Maryland:

• Art Gallery of Fells Point: 1716 Thames Street, Fells Point, Baltimore, MD, (410) 327-1272. This cooperative gallery features works by Maryland and regional artists, from oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, sculpture, photography, pastels, and fibers, to jewelry.Ê Closed on Mondays.
